Plenum chamber crud.

This is about three quarters of the crud I got out of my 4.4tdv8 throttle body and plenum chamber. I could hardly see the MAP sensor!!

These are the large size Chinese containers.

Hi Mike. It's now done 101000 miles and I've done 2000 of those. I was putting some new plenum chamber hoses on but didn't expect to see this much gunge. Thing is, it doesn't run any different but that's forced induction for you. Cheers Kev.

You say it doesn’t run any different Kev, .... I just wonder if your mpg figure may improve ?

Hi Mike, I cleaned it a couple of months ago but I've only just learnt how to post pictures!! The throttle plate just looked like a typical flying saucer with the amount of carbon on it. I can't say I've noticed any difference in the mpg but it pulls off from a standing start a bit smoother. I still have to make a concerted effort to be gentle on the peddle when starting off or it launches itself. Do they all have this trait? Thanks Kev.
