Battery like for like

I think, having looked a various batteries, that the EXIDE EK950 looks like the same battery that LR fit to their Range Rover.
My indie is keen for me to replace my battery with a LR original, but I don’t see the point of paying over the odds for the same battery, just the more expensive one having a LR sticker on it. Can anyone confirm that LR are using EXIDE batteries?
DUCKWORTHS I have been trying to to get a price for a battery and starter motor from DUCKWORTHS via their email but they do not seem to be responding. Have we fallen out with them?

Get my batteries from ECP, makes things dead easy when they fail. Have put the big Bosch ones on all of mine, a lot of folk use tayna etc, loads of threads tbh.

Getting the battery is not the problem, I’ve used Tanya a few times, my indie wants to replace my current battery with a genuine LandRover battery, I can see the logic. But not if I can supply him with the EXIDE EK950, if that is the same battery, just less the LR sticker. Whistle
When you say you have used the big Bosch, are you saying you managed to get the 020 size battery in, as opposed to the 019 size that is the original one?
I have a 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4. Some say a bigger battery will fit, others say it’s impossible.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Fuji White

I fitted a pair of 019 Vartas from Tayna to my 2012 Westie.
It is not used much in the winter months so the original battery was dropping low, insufficient to start, but enough to keep the electronic memories OK.
When replacing, I considered a single 020 in the front but too tight unless the rain drain tube and positive terminal substantially modified.
Following the guides on this site, I fitted a second battery in the boot, with suitable fuses, to protect the 100 Amp cable.
Wouldn't know it was there unless shown. No probs since. Forty years of progress. 1972-2012

I had battery troubles with Varta and Bosch quality batteries until I bit the bullet and bought from Duckworth for a genuine one and NO PROBLEM ever since.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Buckingham Blue

I was just thinking of replacing mine, it still has an original JLR in it, I think I’ll go for the big yausa though, put one in the Landy last week and it turns over lovely.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

I just put an Exide Premium EA1000 100AH on my 4.2 SC. It has done the trick and has made a massive difference to the car although I still have other gremlins. Was £86 so think it was a bargain. Everyone has a preference whether its price, AH or brand. Cant go wrong really. Current Cars
