*diesel Dave* question if I may?, so the "original" OBD port just sits in a void behind where it was situated and the new dummy is reaffixed where the original was ie is there any major faffing to keep the original out the way? or is it just a 10 minute job ?
Thanks

Hi Maccaa. Only a 10 min job to be honest, I just tucked mine out of the way then popped the new once in the slot. You could go to greater lengths and clip it higher up but I don’t see the point, just want to put any would be thief off if they plug in.
I tried plugging my diagnostic reader in and it gives it power, but will not communicate with any ECU’s.

Went to fit mine today and the OBD port is missing! I could see an unused square (ish) connector which I assume should have the OBD connected?

It’s a MY19 and had its first service on the 4th Jan 21. I was told it had a software update. Nothing was mentioned about the OBD port missing. Should I be concerned?

I suppose at least the thieving scum can’t connect to the OBD port. MY23 D350 HSE

I think they might move things around but for obvious reasons these things aren’t shared or encouraged to be discussed here.

Thanks both for the reassurance. I’m not going looking for the port, it can stay lost.

I have other security features fitted anyway, so this was just an additional layer which is redundant in my case. MY23 D350 HSE

I wonder if now they have lots of connectivity in the cars whether LR has some Bluetooth diagnostics they connect with so the OBD becomes redundant....? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
