I've not heard of anyone managing that, but could be wrong - seems like they generally refer people back to a dealership & you need to escalate there.

Is there another dealer anywhere close ?

What's the problem with it ?

Ride handling and harsh suspension issues
No fault codes so dealers are clueless and don’t seem inclined to help
Makes me think active suspension and dynamic response gremlins
All bushes etc check out ok new anti roll bar bushes fitted and transfer case double flush done Recently
Was also thinking a dekra inspection may throw up some idea ?
Local dealers are all the same group and not on my xmas card list Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

There was a guy a few years ago had terrible problems getting his dealer to acknowledge a suspension issue - a different dealer seemed to sort it out. I think he got LR customer relations involved at some point, but don't recall them looking at the car themselves.

Think that is probably the next step to get lr customer relations involved as extended warranty runs out on 7 th dec and at least I’ve then registered the issue with them 👍👍 Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

In case you didn't know - if its the JLR warranty, its valid at all dealerships & not just the one that supplied the car. Not sure what the recharge details are, but some people seem to have more luck with an 'independent' main dealer.....

You can ask the dealer to raise a technical case. However they told me it would involve the same technician at the dealer sitting in the car with a computer being told to do stuff on the phone by a LR guy. At £168/hr, drop yer trews time!!

They couldn't get a "factory tech" to look at your car now even if they wanted to! Your car is now too old for factory diagnostics etc etc sir Thumbs Up

Is that for real Craig? a 2016 car running gear is so different to those being produced now?

Not such the running gear but as in the electronics/can/lin protocols etc

Since the facelift, for example, all of the hardware & software has changed! Don't forget, the factory is set up for building today's model, not fixing previous year's faults... Thumbs Up

The best bet is to find a dealer you trust, even if it involves travel. If they agree that there is something wrong and they cannot solve it than I understand they speak to LR Technical, who suggest what the dealer might try. If LR are interested they can send someone from the factory, but my guess is that in the current climate for motor manufacturers, with a new model coming soon, they'd not be rushing to do it as not worth the cost and bother to them.

I had a smilar scenario with a BMW motorcycle recently, travelling 200 miles to the leading dealer in the UK achieved agreement that it was not a case of "they all do that". There was then a three week period of successive checks and changes suggested by BMW and it is certainly better now, if maybe not 100% perfect. Going to BMW CR was not productive in that case, they see their interface as with the dealers, not the public. But it can do no harm to try LRCR. In my experience they used to be very good at fielding technical people to speak to owners, a really valuable service, but nowadays one seems just to get telephonists that read off the website, they may speak to technical on your behalf, but one does not seem to get through to technical oneself.

Good luck. Only Range Rovers since 1988

The JLR extended warranty can also be administered by a VAT registered independent garage as well as the dealer so if you can find a good specialist they can look at the vehicle as well. You don't need to keep it within the dealer network.
