Whilst delivering to the store in Belgravia yesterday I spotted a person wearing a full CIS style hazmax suit. Sadly, I had left my phone in the cab & by the time I retrieved it there they were gone. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

It’s a psychological thing, it’s a big item, large size wise, and something that most folks can’t do without. The threat of there not being any motivates some to buy it so they won’t run out. This depleted shelves, photos go out on BBC and the like more people see it and have the same response. panic begets panic. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Jokes aside, Brian we all salute you and your colleagues for your deliveries to restock the shops.

Bow down
. Cheers, Greg

Thanks GGDR.

Worrying times indeed.

I can assure everyone that there are no shortages (well, OK the odd product here & there) but generally there is plenty of supplies in the chain.
The problem is getting it to the shops - us HGV drivers can only do so many "runs" (even with the drivers hours being relaxed - however, I personally think that 56hrs actual driving a week is enough so I won't be increasing my hours).

When I do a kerbside delivery there are usually a few people standing at the back to see what's on board before I even get the tailift down !

The industry only has so many temperature controlled controlled vehicles (the company I work for even keeps the "abmient" at 12deg). The warehouse staff can only load so many trucks in a shift.

Central London yesterday was surreal - little traffic, many shops closed & few people on the pavements. Empty buses too. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Hopefully, the truck drivers won't have to sit in jams due to the morons on the roads that don`t leave enough time to get to work, as they will not have work to go to.
