Gents,

I noticed what seems to be a minor leak today, not sure if that leaky bit on the photos is the oil drain plug.
The car was at the dealer 10 days ago to sort out the bad smell in cabin issue, connected to the oil cooler/egr gaskets. They changed oil and coolant, and a bunch of gaskets and o-rings.
Long story short, I'm going back in the shop on Monday, just wondered if anyone has an idea what this could be.

If it was in getting the oil cooler gaskets done, it's possible that you're seeing some of the spilled oil from the work done by the garage?

A good degrease and power wash may get rid of the stain.

got to agree with mpirie ,
if cooler gaskets been done, it may just be residue from repair running down back of engine. (seen it before ). covers off, degrease rear of engine and gearbox with brake cleaner and run it. hopefully this is all it is.

That was it.

Went back to the shop, asked them to look at it again. Mechanic admitted he couldn't unscrew one of the shield's bolts, so he couldn't clean up his mess. Did it anyway, degreased anc cleaned up, it's been fine since.
