Temperature

The gauge on my car for indicating the temperature usually sits at the 10 o'clock position but on a few occasions it has risen just below the 12 o'clock position.

Where should the gauge sit generally and should I worry about the rise and slow but gradual fall? Current cars

Not had it long ? My td6 sits about straight up in the summer less in cold weather so maybe yours has been running cold till now.

The Temperature Gauge should be at 12 o'clock/midday once the car has reached normal operating temperature (can take up to 20 minutes with a TD6). Running at 10 o'clock or moving around means either your main thermostat or your EGR stat requires replacement.

Sits around the 10 position most of the time with some ventures into the 12. It doesn't constantly rise and fall. Current cars

Start with EGR one. Remember from past that e53 part was cheaper than l322.
