Advice please - suspension troubles and a locked door.

Hi all,
A few issues with the Fatty in recent weeks and I need your help! Firstly, the air suspension has been playing up for a while now and I've spent a lot of money on it without getting anywhere. About 30 seconds after start up the dreaded bong sounds and the whole system goes inactive - no orange leds on the suspension buttons and terrain response inactive message appears too. Fault codes didn't lead to anything (I can't remember what they were unfortunately!), battery has been replaced along with a new starter motor. The compressor was replaced a few months back and all works ok when power is applied to it. The only clue is an orange icon above the offside front wheel when the 4 x 4 screen is on but no one seems to know what this means or if it is significant to a complete shutdown of the suspension system.

Secondly, the front passenger door is locked shut. It won't open from inside or outside and the central locking button on the dash doesn't do anything for this door either. All the other doors are working ok. There's been talk of breaking in through the door card to see what's going on, or not going on, but I feel there must be an easier solution so would appreciate any thoughts on this.

We've spent a lot of money on the car over the last few months chasing these faults as well as having the transfer box rebuilt and we're now wondering if we should move it on, the problem is do I sell it as it is or spend more money on it to fix it and then sell it..? Any advice appreciated, thanks in advance folks.

Ed.

The first could be a fault on the height sensor or wiring.

The second on the door, there may be a way of opening the front door on your year by having the rear door open and finding a small plug that allows access to a means of releasing the front door lock.

Both of these are on here if you search.

Hope this helps. Cheers
Richard

EAS - sounds like a hard fault - diagnostic tool needed to read codes (to find out what is wrong) and reset. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

Thanks for the replies chaps. I'll get the codes read when I can but now have a rather more urgent problem with central locking Big Cry Big Cry I think I'd best start a new thread.
