Water bottle overflow

More small problems with my car.

Is there an overflow pipe on the water bottle, I topped mine up the other day and water started coming out of a black pipe situated next to the inlet. I've never seen a overflow on the water bottle on any other car i have owned, so this has me stumped.

Also how far up the windscreen should the water be sprayed, mine seems really bad for pressure. 2011 Vogue 4.4 TDV8

Thanks for the quick answer, really never seen an overfolw like that, even my 2016 Jag didn't have one.

I'll have a look at cleaning up the jets, with a small pin tonight. 2011 Vogue 4.4 TDV8
