bought a 2011 RR.... bluetooth connection

So over the weekend I have just picked up a 2011 4.4 TDV8 is silver, first impressions are great love the car,

Just one quick question for now, does the car have Bluetooth connectivity for a phone, can'r see anything and didn't check before I bough it. If not is there a way to add it easily.

Welcome aboard and good luck with the new car. Piccies?

Look in the left hand rear compartment (where the satnav is). It should have a Nokia unit on top of everything. That's the bluetooth unit and I would expect you have one. Will need to pair your phone, 2121 IIRC. John

Thanks for the quick answers I've had a quick look but can't see anything with the wording Nokia or it.

The black box with the two orange fibre optic cables on top in picture one is the unit, as far as I can tell. Won't necessarily have Nokia written on it. John

Hehehe I picked up my car today and had the same operator error 😂

I couldn’t find any button to put the car in pairing mode or add a phone. I thought my module was missing or something.

Like you i figured out that it’s a case of just pairing it. But unusual, never seen that before on any system or car.

A person in this part of the world went for 18 months thinking that his vehicle didn't have BT but eventually discovered that the vehicle was configured for a non-existent phone docking station. The CCF had to be changed to remove the docking station specification.

Looks like I might have found the issue, according to LandRover my phones are not compatible with my car due to there age, is there a way to update the Bluetooth software to enable them to work with newer phones.

What phone do you have? I mean my iPhone 11 Pro pretty new, besides the Bluetooth profile on these is only Handsfree. I cannot imagine a scenario where a newer phone isn't compatible with that.
