I replaced my old steps that were "sticking". I bought a complete new kit. I believe the issue was with general muck/wear/corrosion at the pivot points providing just enough drag to trigger the reverse if obstacle detected function. I still have the old steps. They aren't pretty, but they are complete and the motors certainly were working when I took them off. I bundled them all up in bubble when someone on here thought they might want them, but that fell through. You are welcome if you want them....but you'll have to come and get them (South Somerset) or pay for transport and they are huge and very heavy. I don't really want to break them down myself and be left to store loads of bits. Mike - MPx

Hi Mike, If JWL doesn't want these then I'd gladly collect them from you and pay for them or make a forum donation.
