Took the car to a main dealer to diagnose it. No call with a progress update so I rang them...

Somehow, they have managed to get a coolant hose to split and it has dumped its coolant. No hose in stock. No previous cooling issues. Can't wait to get it back, I just hope the engine is ok after this little bit of bad news.

Monday can't come soon enough.

Finally got the car back, complete with big bill and a new nearside turbo and a coolant pipe.

Fingers crossed... Is the noise fixed?

Thanks for sharing that, and it's good to hear it is sorted, and that you now have peace of mind. I had a lot of bills to deal with in the first months after the purchase, and no regrets four years later and nearly 40k miles on top. I trusted the car on a tour around Europe and a 110 mile daily commute. No regrets

I know some specialists mentioned on here would do both for less, but in this area I had a bad experience with one of them and was left a bit disillusioned.

Not ideal at all, but at least you have it sorted and plenty of recourse with main dealer if needed.

I'm hoping i don't need the work, but at £3700 main dealer prices I think I would foot the bill and get it done if ever needed.
