Best option I have seen are the 2” receiver hitch type. Any other types I’ve looked at we’re going to need straps onto the rear tailgate and risk damage |

we have a Yakima - its made in the USA - so uses the Westfalia 2" hitch tube connector that is stock on most L322's

Sadly , I had the same dilemma and could not find a solution other than towbar mounted rack - which I have. The obvious other alternative is to whip the wheels off and put the bike inside the car , which I do occasionally . I did also make my own rack once which slid into the 2" orifice but if you go that that far you might as well go the whole hog and and get the the towball and have done with it. I did that on my previous RRs not too expensive and although a heavy job it was pretty easy and I used it all the time - for the bike rack, I never towed anything . Geoff |

Thanks all. Bit disappointing yo can't fit a rack other than to the towbar. I did fit a towbar to my previous L322, looks like I'll be remind g myself how I did that! 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new.... |
