Bike Rack options

Hi all, sorry if this has been covered before (I did search, honest!). Are there any bike rack options for the L322 which aren't towbar (haven't got one!) or roof (my electric MTB weighs 24kg!) mounted?

Thanks! 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new....

Best option I have seen are the 2” receiver hitch type. Any other types I’ve looked at we’re going to need straps onto the rear tailgate and risk damage

we have a Yakima - its made in the USA - so uses the Westfalia 2" hitch tube connector that is stock on most L322's

great bit of kit for ferrying around up to 4 bikes on the back, you just slide the Yakima into the receiver and a bolt to stop it sliding out , photos make it easier to see

second photo shows how it slides into the receiver

Sadly Crying or Very sad , I had the same dilemma and could not find a solution other than towbar mounted rack - which I have. The obvious other alternative is to whip the wheels off and put the bike inside the car , which I do occasionally Very Happy. I did also make my own rack once which slid into the 2" orifice but if you go that that far you might as well go the whole hog and and get the the towball and have done with it. I did that on my previous RRs not too expensive and although a heavy job it was pretty easy and I used it all the time - for the bike rack, I never towed anything Thumbs Up . Geoff

Thanks all. Bit disappointing yo can't fit a rack other than to the towbar. I did fit a towbar to my previous L322, looks like I'll be remind g myself how I did that! 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new....
