Next FFRR?

The following link shows new images of the next gen RR / RRS

https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/land-rover/r...first-time

I reckon Autocar have got it wrong and this is the new FF not the RRS. It looks like it has a split rear tailgate like the FF and the rear overhangs look too big to be a Sport.

I guess that this should be due for reveal in the autumn?

The problem with a lot of these so called spy shots are that they assume that what they are looking at is the next incarnation of a particular model. A lot of the testing done is by using what they call "mules" so the body could be the real look or bits patched together to test other items, or even an existing body that has a new drivetrain installed to test that. It will be interesting to see just how close they guessed this time round when it's finally revealed

It’s on record that they’re both going to be evolutionary redesigns rather than radically changed - just hope the proper one retains some dignity.

Agreed Thumbs Up As for accuracy, those chaps at AE have got to run out of their stock of magic mushrooms one day!

LT do like running around in disguised vehicles to generate some interest and I see now reason why this should be the Sport, as the proportions are pure L405, as is the split tailgate. I’d put this down as a L405 with another facelift / light re-skin.

I noticed there is a distinct 'hip' line along the bottom edge of the side windows.
Quite a Volvo trait. So it could be a new shell.
Or they have added false shapes under the dazzle vinyl.

I think it is a new shell because if it was an incremental 405 update, they would not need to disguise it so much.

Then again, the hip line doesn't line up too well with the clam shell bonnet, so who knows what's under that vinyl. The mirrors look 405 too.

I also noticed a distinct radiused wheel flare on the front wing, quite like the Evoque.

Another thing I noticed was the rear suspension, does this suspension arm look like a 405, or something new?

Also this junction where the rear pillar meets the rear quarter is weird. It's on both sides.:

 Cheers, Greg

When is the FFRR change due on the market ? Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

I don't think it's a facelift as you can see the suspension components and exhaust underneath are all different. This is the new one due for MY21 on the lighter MLA platform.

I reckon Red Merle has a fat finger and hit T instead of the adjacent R key. That would make it LR......

I used to buy, read & enjoy AE many years ago before they gained a fetish for crappy quality spy shots.

IIRC LR used Mystro vans as test mules for the Freelander. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6
