a shot in the dark justin but have you tried disconnecting the battery, seems strange that the faults dis-appear on several turns of the engine.. ... - .- -.

Quick update, tried dis-connecting the battery problem is still there but now problem is consistent. First attempt to start and nothing the car is dead will not turn over, second attempt to start and car starts with numerous transmission faults, third time lucky car starts and no problems showing. Now back home luckily car at dealer on Monday, they have very kindly organised a new 4.4tdv8 as a loaner and to try and tempt me |

another shot in the dark but im sure ive read it on this forum, that there is an adjuster on the gear leaver and that it dont quite see the RR in park mode to start it? thus adjusting this sorts out the starting issue.

Thank you for all the advice, just picked it up after a week of being without it. It turned out to be a problem with the ignition. It was not always registering that they key was in the right position. Great to have it back |
