Although the L405 has 21’s on and I know it’s going to make it ride rubbish and I’m going to be crapping myself every time I go near a kerb I just want 22’s.
The car is by no means a daily. Only really gets used weekends. How many of you are running aftermarket 22’s. I’ve ran aftermarkets in the past without issues but on cars that don’t get used daily.

Turbines look great on the ff but are massively popular so I’m steering towards these bellow. These are copies but I’m sure they are an original Land Rover style wheel? If so what are they called?

22’s are fine and I find not that vulnerable. Just make sure the tyres you have fitted have a good rim protection band - Continental CrossContact Sport do - I have caught several kerbs - some quite hard and have got away with it.

I would also fit 285/40/22 rather than the standard 275/40/22, these give more rim protection and a slightly better ride - plus the Conti’s in this size are now LR OEM fitment on some of their vehicles 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

They’re 9012 style just for the record and they come as an original lr wheel.

Agree with fitting 285/40/22 sized tyres the 40 height profile helps protect wheel from pot hole damage

I've just had to buy two new tyres as there was a split (aargh) in one. I hadn't seen the point about 285 beforehand - but, in any event, I find the 22" wheels terrifying in London, what with kerbs, narrow restrictions, awkward car park entrances....

Does 285 vs 275 really make that much difference ?

Yes, you have 5mm more sidewall and 10mm more width, the ride is also definitely softer and more comfortable, and they also seem quieter - that’s apart from the extra rim protection the 285’s give.

Got a chance to get a set of brand new 9012 style 22’s. They will do a wheel and tyre package with 285/40/22 tyres but the brand is accelera. I can get the wheels only and get a better branded tyre but obviously going to be paying double compared to there tyre package. The car is not a daily if that makes a difference

People do, but I wouldn't skimp on tyres.

This is exactly why I asked the question. Never used accelera tyres. Package deal with 285/40/22 tyres is £1200 or £750 just wheels. So I can just source my own tyres if the accelera ones are crap.

TBH I don't really know as I've never run them - I just have a thing about skimping on tyres - for the difference in price I'd rather have the best I can get, however you define best.....
