United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Nara Bronze

Chromecast into audio video splitter. Optical output.
Optical into splitter. 1 feed from chromecast, 1 feed from factory DVD changer. Button to switch between.
HDMI out into 2 way hdmi splitter.
1st HDMI to AV Convertor. Output from that goes into AV1 for RSE. I spliced into necessary feeds on the loom by the RSE module. (Shielded blue cable).
2nd HDMI to AV Convertor. Output goes to feed from RSE module to front screen. Need to cut the feed. I used a switch to reinstate factory TV/DVD connection when needed.

All are powered from USB connections. I used 12v to USB looks. Feed from rear 12v power outlet.

I think that’s about it. Shocked

Hi JNC

I'm new here at the forum, recently got the car of my dreams who needs this chromecast upgrade

My car is NAS spec so I have to add video cable to the center monitor in the dash

You happen to have some some photos from the boot area of the connections to share?

And where you got the hdmi to av converters, I'm going to order them from UK or USA

Best regards, Asgeir

I was hoping the same when I found this thread. My DVD player doesn't work anyway.

Currently I have an ipad plugged into the Rear sockets via a converter cable but it's very flaky and only works on the rear screens - a chromecast would be a perfect solution but I'm not sure I'm up to the challenge of splicing cables. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE
