L322 (2012) suspension collapses after shock change

Hi
My Indy has changed a leaking passenger's front shock absorber and now the front left suspension collapses after sometime (if car remains stationary overnight for example).
An error appeared on dashboard (suspension failure) but cleared once engine off/on.
Any ideas what's wrong? I will be calling them first thing tomorrow morning.

Hi Giorgio,
Did they replace the the whole unit airbag and strut or did they just do the strut. And put your existing airbag spring on it? Oz

As above, if it is an original bag it maybe that it had a small tear or was heading that way and wrestling it off the strut has exasperated it.

Alternatively when they have removed it they haven’t reconnected the air feed pipe properly, or split it, or not pushed it in fully.

Put the car in access mode and get looking under the arch with some soapy water for a leak. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

If they fitted the existing airbag to a new shock did they replace the numerous 'O' rings and seals? BMW i3 Electric Car
