I am pondering the idea of repainting some worn trims such as the gear surround plastic trim, and the plastic seat silver trims (over the control switches) and was wondering if anyone new the best types of spray paint and any specific shade of silver that would match the silver trims used by Land Rover, such as the chrome spokes on the steering wheel.

I guess I might have to lacquer over the paint to get that gloss smooth, and resistant finish. Tom

Still trying some out, project has taken been put on hold until after I move house to somewhere with a garage for the spray work.

Bought some Liquid Chrome to see how it compares to the Titanium silver paint. I want it to look like the pearlised chrome on the facelifted gen interior trim parts like the gear surround, seat button overhangs and rear vent panel.

When I have a more professional set up I will post pics of the success or failure of the project! Tom
