Following on from the threads about the poor lighting on the L405 compared to the L322 I’ve been looking to fit additional lighting to my 2014 AB.
Having had the Lazer Lamp grille kit on my Defender I was interested in doing the same on the L405.
They already do a kit for Discovery models -

Completely agree that std lights are cack, but I’d only be interested if the design looked better than that, l know there has to be compromise but it looks a bit heath Robinson, might be different in the flesh, could there not be a solution that’s easier? Perhaps mounting where the fogs are?

Unfortunately that's Laser's way of fitting them MrTee... They sell kits for lots of the Ford commercial range Might be fine for them but i have to agree, they look a bit "halfords" to be fitted to a fatty!

Would they not be too low to conform to Con & Use regs? Fog lights are different and, legally, should only be used in fog or falling snow. John

It's the dipped beam that's the issue for me. Don't the Lazers come on with full beam only?

I keep thinking about changing the bulbs to the brighter Osram ones that I've seen mentioned on here, but haven't got around to it.

I have already upgraded to the Osrams and they are a definite improvement but I still want more on the full beam as I find there are dark areas and the cut off is quite pronounced.
I had considered mounting my spare ST4’s in the lower grille area but I think that because of the angle/curve they will look odd.
More odd than the ones in the top grille.
Any additional lighting is going to look out of place but the lazer grille is as good as it’ll get.

I agree. The flush mounting in the grille is as good as it gets.

I'm interested in the kit. I'd probably buy an after market or used grille to cut up and keep the original one to go back on when I trade it in.

I already have a spare grille so the next option is to invest in a 3d printer and make my own mounting for the grille.

Is there an option to have lights to fit the gaps, or is there a style of grill that allows more light through? The more gappy sort of honeycomb one might be ok? Happy to buy a crappy one for research purposes.

That is another option i’m exploring, as Craig did mount it behind the grille and then fit a more open style grille.

if you active vents behind the grill it might restrict your choice if lights.. ... - .- -.
