If you have a FBH there is a single valve, similar to the double valve mounted on inner wing, mounted on the bulkhead this reduces or increases the flow into the heater matrix so that when the FBH is on it doesn't heat the whole of the cooling system mine was stuck half way and therefore reducing the flow by half have a look at it I first tested by replacing with a y piece on the hoses it was hot quick replaced with a new one from Dan at duckworths problem solved

I’ve not got a fbh as far as I’m aware (no timed climate option) so guess that rules it out? Would I remove the battery or inner wing to check for the fbh? |

Just look on the bulkhead where the pipes go through for the heater matrix and see if there is a valve if not check that the pipes are getting hot |

I thought all diesels had one and it worked auto when outside temp was below 7 degrees or something like that the petrols with it work at 1 deg c |

Update- turns out the waft of hot air is coming from the passengers side, it’s just the drivers side that isn’t getting warm, if I give the control valve a tap I then get warm air to the drivers side but again it’s intermittent so must be a dodgy valve
