Heated wing mirror glass

Is the wing mirror glass permanently heated or only comes on at certain temps for a set number of time? Regards

They come on automatically below a certain temperature according to the manual.

Can’t remember what the exact temperature is though. Got 3 degrees in my head, but could be wrong...
