Thats what i fear, the battery was only disconnected once she was totally dead, could not even unlock the car to start with. The battery is a bosch which I'd hope would be half way decent but guess I'll find out later on when she gets to the specialist. Cheers. RR Vogue TDV8 Grey/Black

had this on my last one, battery was a relatively new bosch, fingers crossed you'll be fine. |

To be fair if you end up replacing the alternator I wouldn't risk a suspect battery and if it is only 6 months old as Alistair said try the warranty |

Thanks, re the battery, I don't have a receipt as trader changed just before I brought her and as commented for the sake of the cost of a new battery on top of the alternator etc I think I'd rather pay the money than risk having further issues as we head into winter etc. Hope to get her back in next 24 hours and fingers crossed she's then all set for winter!
