Changing door cable

Hi passenger door cable seems to have failed. I've ordered up a new one and I am planning on fitting it this weekend. Any words of wizdom on how to do this.

Is it necessary to remove the airbag module, I have an aversion to anything containing explosives!

Couple of ideas for you.

I didn't remove the airbag, wasn't going that far for a window replacement, but if you wish you could disconnect the battery for reassurance.

Be careful of the card fixings, use a trim tool set of you can, screwdrivers will llikely ruin the fixings. The electric cables need close attention to prevent stressing the connectors etc. Removal of the door cables is on here of you search.

Good luck, getting in there is not too bad, just take time and care. Cheers

A Trap

It’s not hard, just take your time.

Main tip, make sure all the connectors are fully home, if you have any strange electrical issues after, this will be the problem, so just remove the trim and remove and reconnect all the connectors again and it should be good.
