3 weeks 1 day, and 230 miles covered at time of impact.

No quotes yet, but the van driver admitted liability and the van rental company already filed a claim and notified my insurers. My insurer (LV) will handle everything and will send someone to pick the car up. Dunno when. I may never see the repair cost, perhaps. When they do it I can get a “Exec 4x4” from Enterprise which probably means an Evoque Rolling with laughter

It needs both upper and lower tailgates, bumper, and alloy wheel (or alloy wheel refurb) as it’s scuffed as the van shunted my car a few centimetres into the side of the kerb. Oh and the nearside rear light cluster is scratched. It will need the Gtechniq applying to new paint surfaces, glass and the wheel. I reckon this all amounts to quite an expensive job. Obviously no whiplash claim as it was parked, but I may sue for emotional duress!

At least I know the car alarm works... very reassuring. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Don't see why you shouldn't receive a like for like car.

I’m a big believer in Sods Law. If it had been an old L322 the van would have just missed it.

Hope getting it repaired works out okay. 👍

Terrible for your new pride and joy, sorry chief.

The van looks pretty worse for wear, whereas your looks comparatively light damage?

. Cheers, Greg

It is very strange, but then I think that van just has a large crumple zone at the front there, that’s all. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

I take it the muppet left said van without applying either the parking brake or any gear? #Bangtorights and while commiting an offence.
