Evening all.

The following isn’t a problem as such as nothing is broken (yet), but it’s a bit odd.

Earlier today my 2007 TDV8 ‘emitted’ a particularly odd buzzing sound from behind the right hand side of the dash, that slowly faded away to nothing. There were no warning lights, no issues happening or indeed anything out of the ordinary. This has happened once before and again, nothing seems to be broken.

I wondered if it could be a relay of some kind rather than a buzzer, I’ve never taken the dash apart, so have no idea of what’s behind there.

I did manage to catch it on video, although I can’t seem to see an option to upload a video as the ‘upload’ button is greyed out.

Any help is appreciated, on how to upload the vid and random buzzer!!

Sounds like it could be the ECM cooling fan. I’ll keep digging!

I randomly get this in my 07 sounds like behind the cluster? Current stable:
2006 BMW M6
2007 4.2 V8 S/C FF
Gone:
2002 4.4 V8 FF

Is this the noise I found it in my phone I don’t think I ever posted on here - I had it twice and then I had my interior all
Out and changed and it’s not been back?

It actually went away, but if it does comeback I’ll change the ECM cooling fan, as per this thread….
