Greyed out manual heat function

Is this meant to be like this? Can’t activate it manually

Mine is the same.
I don't know if it's correct or not. I can set a start time and it works fine.
I've not checked what the manual says. Too many toys, not enough time

I did have a play today.
With the engine and ignition off, press the radio button. The display comes on. Then select timed climate and the soft key works. However it was 6 degrees when I tried it so it went straight out! 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded
