Which fuel supplier ??

Which fuel supplier do members prefer ? I personally use Esso premium diesel as I like to believe I get slightly better mpg and it’s better for the engine, but am more than happy to proven wrong. Do other members have preferences or do you just go to the nearest outlet ?? I’d give my right arm to be ambidextrous

Nearest outlet for me

Usually Tesco in the UK, Super U in France & Shell in Andorra (my car spends 1/3 year in each)

In Andorra I put in the V Power stuff in as its only a few cents more, but not sure I can really telll the difference....

Shell V Power, and you can tell the difference over supermarket derv. If I can’t get Shell, then BP Ultimate or Esso premium. I have used the Total premium fuel in France too.

Only ever put Shell V Power in my Mini JCW.

Unless I'm stuck always Shell or BP & have done for decades.

I know some people use supermarket fuels but most of them that I know that do so seem to have fuel system issues. 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

Shell V Power for me. On a recent trip from Scotland to Hampshire and back over two days my 5.0SC showed 26.2mpg and on filling up when I got back the range to empty showed as 520 miles. Driving gently and hardly stopping, but even so. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Probably because I live close I always use Supermarket fuel (like thousands of others) I personally have never had a problem and I don't know of anyone who has had a problem. This is an old, often run debate so I just shared my direct experience of 50 years, well over a million miles, with a variety of cars, using supermarket fuel with no problem. Geoff

Had my first fill up of the season in Andorra today - Shell V-Power diesel - 1.06 EUR / litre plus I get 5% off for having a season lift pass Smile so a shocking 86p / litre Cool

It just didn't seem worth saving the 4c for standard diesel Laughing
