Electrical woes....

So it started with park assist. No longer assisting. Completely dead. Not even the camera. Not the button. And no sensors.

Now the entire radio/sat NAV thingy is playing up. Can’t play the radio, CD or anything. Can’t even change the time of the clock. Dead. As. A. Dodo. Is this rain related..? Aarrgggh. I can take it to a garage but if this is a simple standard double, can someone help...?

Rapidly going off this RR lifestyle.... ggrrrrr

Took a look. A little dirty only. No water. And nothing I could see. Picture here.

Yup. Battery is all good too...

This is annoying. I’m going to check each connection in the nearside cubby today. I wobbled a few and the radio/cd etc is not working again. Still no park assist though but at least the camera has started again!

May also have to give up and let a professional have a look

I suspect you will have a can bus fault.

If you plug an obd tool in it will probably report bcm lost coms with various modules.
Tracking it down could be tricky.

Check the n/s wing cabling, plus under the back seat where it goes around the wheel arch (the loom gets squashed here).
Then check under the front seats, make sure it's all dry and again for cable damage.
Those are the areas that I've seen reported as having cabling issues.

The modules are also very voltage sensitive, so if there is a poor powered or earth they will give coms issues. Too many toys, not enough time
