Like I said tried all the normal things to get oil measurement, seems it’s a faulty sensor which must have been there when I collected the car. For clarification the car was bought from the same dealer that the car is at now having the work done. So in less than 4 weeks all these issues have appeared since they did a “comprehensive“ inspection. Agree with other post just shoddy dealer work. |

There is no dipstick on the modern engines and everything needs to be checked via the dash - yet another component to go wrong!!! "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence. "TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you. |

LOL Japseroony : what I was saying was that the dash oil indicator is inhibited at certain times however if you open the bonnet the dash will read out at all times . |

charlie croker mk2, sorry my bad, misunderstood what you meant but learned something new so thank you as I did not know opening the bonnet had that result "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

Yes it not the fact there were faults these things happen but clearly it had not had the inspection done. Car back now and all seems good.
