I'd like to interrupt this thread to just sob quietly for a bit...

Yes, only the 4.4 TDV8 has the Jag gear selector (which looks a bit too delicate for the RR interior). |

I like it. Very clean and open centre console area now. Flat terrain response selector is nice and very easy to use. 8 Speed Gearbox is fantastic. |

I have had a AMV8 for 3 years now and i'm not planning to change either. I currently have a X5, which is virtually a taller 5-series as it handles bends like a sports car almost. My thinking came to the point that i considered both cars too similar and thus wanted to seperate them a little. So i chose to keep my AMV8 as a 'special' car and swap the X5 'sporty' for FFRR TDV8 'luxury' and by doing so give me two distinct driving experiences, so that i had options of what to drive today - depending on my mood today. If I fancied a sports-drive, i take the AMV8, if i want to waft in utter comfort and relax on my journey then i will take the FFRR. This choice was made easier for me because i have a Ducati Superbike too, which takes speed and excitement to a whole new level ... but it results in what i feel is a very well balanced 'garage' offering different forms of transport depending on mood / wants. If you have the AMV8 and a S/C will you not simply have the same choice of transport just in different guises ? Just my thinking, thats all. Good luck with whatever you choose, as lets face it, thats a lovely place to be |

I see what you mean. If you want a REALLY different driving experience you can have a go in my 60 year old Morris Minor.
