Yes, it is well documented as a success. Off the top of my head, you need 2x 15mm caps for the hoses and a blank for the exhaust. A full in-depth write up is in this forum, try a search 2007 TDV8 VSE

Many thanks - I could find a lot on the basic blanking kits, but not much on the actual removal of the cooler and the thermostat.

This kit although more expensive than most appears to have custom parts to blank the water hoses along with the exhaust... Not right for our engine but the diagrams show the water pipes that need blanking https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-3-SERIES-E9...SwaadayKRu 2007 TDV8 VSE

I removed the EGR, EGR Cooler, and viscous fan/shroud from my 2003 TD6 and the car seems much better now.
