2006 L322 TDV8 battery drain - blower motor running

I've a 2006 TDV8 with what seems to be a common issue - the blower motor runs continuously when the ignition's off, eventually draining the battery.

I've pulled all of the fuses that looked like they could have something to do with this - F12, 34, 52, 61, 64 and the damn thing keeps on running. I've had a good search but can't seem to find a next step.. anyone help?!

Thanks in advance --

Dave

Sounds typical of FSR (final stage resistor) failure. There is a good write up re it’s replacement in the Wiki on this forum.

Yes the FSR has failed only solution is to disconnect the battery to stop the fan then replace the unit. It’s a fiddle but can be fine at home. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23
