Wales 2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Update

Reconditioned gearbox fitted with new torque converter , now shifting nice and smoothly with much less noise. It was never a noisy car, but with this recon gearbox it is noticeably quieter at motorway speeds.

An interesting point is that the company that performed the reconditioning do not recommend using MOBIL ATF LT 71141 and have filled it with Dextron 3 instead. The garage queried this, spoke to the experts at the company themselves to clarify ( it's a major British reconditioning outfit) who confirmed that it should be filled with Dextron 3.

Hopefully good for another 120,000 miles Its big , its black and we call it THE BEAST !

That's interesting. I hope you have a good warranty that also covers labor.

Can you give me the name of the company that recommends the dexron 3? I'd like to know why. I understand they are both fluid class 11B but that doesn't tell me enough. I'd love to feel safe using a fluid that costs so little.
