Anyone have ever done a commercial conversion on a L322

My discovery 4 has lunched its engine, sadly they all do and its just a question of when not if its a £10K Repair with a new LR engine and turbos.

The D4 is a commercial which I use as a dog car and general run about and back up tow car I also run a Overfinch 4.4 tdv8 RR which has been probably the best LR I have had, having had a succession off RR over the years the worst of which are the 3.6 purely because off the engine challenges.

For the same money as the D4 commercial rebuild I could buy a 4.4 tdv8 take the back seats out, put in a floor and a mesh guard and have the benefits of the 4.4 at similar money, the Grey one in the classifieds is actually tempting.. running cost wise there is not a lot of difference between a D4 and a RR
The main pain comes from the road fund licence.givn th D4 is only £220

Has anyone done a commercial type conversion in the rear of a L322?

They get converted in Eire a lot as the RFL is a tenth of a car... Don't know if that will help you find info? Thumbs Up

You can also get those tight fitting full black out window inserts.
Somebody here sold some a while back.

. Cheers, Greg

Just factor in any insurance issues - some companies are not too keen on commercial conversions. (As I found out a couple of years ago). 2003 Range Rover Vogue TD6

I am no expert, but I think you have to remove the rear seat belts and blank off the fixing points.
