I had the Jag version. A nice enough car, but not a fatty, so I got rid losing 15k in the process and bought another fatty. Yes, I’m mad! |

I really dislike the Velar. I think it’s rear end does nothing to help it’s charm, reminds me of the Model X and the X6. No thank you! I’d take a used fatty or a new well-optioned Defender over a new Velar every time. |

Having had one as a loan car for a day I would never consider one. Outside looks OK, but interior (not sure of trim level of loaner) substantially below RR level, and less space obviously. Is pretty quick in sport mode, but with narrower track felt less planted than RR. My main gripe however is with the suspension, hard and bangy, even in the higher setting on a moderate farm track. Not the magic carpet smooth and well damped ride quality of a RR at all. And pretty expensive for what they are compared with a RR. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

Same as ilard above, I can’t stand anything about them, it’s just not for me. |

DiL should be picking hers up in a few days I believe, it’s going to replace the D5......I am not sure she realises just how much smaller it is inside compared with the D5, presently the D5 is always packed to the gunnels with baby and kid stuff, it’ll look great but I don’t reckon she’ll get the doors shut David
