Thanks for that kind offer- I'll bear that in mind.

Where is the microphone located and is there likely to be pre-wiring in my car? Also, apart from all the gubbins under the armrest etc, isn't there a module located somewhere in the car and if so, what does it look like, so I can see if it's installed. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

England 2006 Range Rover SE Td6 Java Black

Mine has the cubby box fitment (but no phone cradle) fitted, but also has a separate speaker in the passenger footwell and mic on the A post. The speaker and mic seem to be add ons (had the exact same kit with a Nokia car kit on another car). When I use the phone with Bluetooth, the sound goes through the stereo speakers, so the additional speaker seems to be redundant.

Anybody else got this setup (and why?) I think that the previous owner must have had a separate kit fitted (again, why?)

The microphone is located behind a small grille in the headlining by the sunroof switch. I believe the sound comes through the front door speakers. Discovery 4 HSE

ALL Range Rovers based on the BMW system have the ability to have the BMW bluetooth phone system installed. No USA spec Range Rovers are prewired for phone, but all others are either prewired (or equipped) or not prewired.

this is the telephone system wiring plug in the RR

If there is a wiring harness connected to that plug the car is prewired or equipped. If not the RR is not prewired for phone.

Either way installing the bluetooth system is very easy. Check out this page for instructions using BMW parts and specially configured wiring harnesses for either configuration

Did you ever get to a resolution or get bored of the constant spamming? Smile

I'd like the factory fit installed, but from what I undterstand even if the wiring is there the Phone Control Module isnt, this is the bit that integrates the Phonebook with the display and all the buttons etc. I may of course be wrong.

I currently have a CK-1W installed, but would really like the factory gear and to be able to read my texts whilst driving at 130 down the m-way (joke!) I'd be interested to hear how far you got.
