United Kingdom 2004 Range Rover HSE Td6 Giverny Green
SOLD 2004 L322 TD6 OFFERS

O/N 190915-273

So the sad day has come to move on my first ( but not last ) Rangie , a new car through work means I don't have the space or money to run both ; and it would only go unused on the drive and it's far too good for that !!
I was lucky enough to buy it from this forum in Feb 2016,so wanted to give someone else the same chance I had .
I did the usual searching online as I think the L322 is still the best shape of all , and hearing the horror stories almost put me off ( SO glad I didn't listen ) .It has been one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned , only letting me down twice in over 3 years ( once for a failing battery that gave all sorts of error messages and when the compressor failing sent the suspension down ).
Other than those minor things it has been a wonderful means of transportation , I was doing 400 miles a week to work and it was PERFECT for that , now I have moved closer its still a great companion .

It is a 2004 HSE TD6 in Giverney Green , it has 167K and this will creep up as still in use.
The forum member I bought it off had done the following:
Engine change with new unit with guaranteed less than 15K when fitted (at 125K ) he then ran it for
6K whilst ironing out any niggles . So the engine has a total of 57K on it.

At the same time he drained and inspected the gearbox and found it to be in excellent health , but to be sure had the Torque converter reconditioned by Jpat , before going back in the car.
Changed the crank case filter for a Vortex type ( this may well have been the reason the original engine blew).
Sealed the possible water ingress to the rear left hand side ( where all the electrical units are).
Fixed the dash pixel failing .
So all in all the main problem parts that I found about when doing my research.

In my ownership I have done the following :
Fitted side steps and mudflaps fron Land Rover Liverpool.
Removed the head unit and had fitted a Dynavin N6 with DAB and phone integration.
New rear light clusters from PowerfulUK ,as the other one had cracked.
Fitted colour matching door handles from PowerfulUK.
New stronger compressor (think its from the later Discovery £575).
New battery from Euro carparts
New Brembo discs and pads from Euro carparts.
New tyres all round Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season and a new unused spare.

The compressor was fitted 2yrs ago, the brakes were done 3yrs ago and have lots of life left in them and the battery was changed 18 months ago.The tyres were done 2 yrs ago and have plenty of tread left.

In addition I have had it yearly serviced by a specialist in Preston , who has done all the MOT's .
I have changed the oil and filters myself in between the yearly garage service so its had fresh oil every 7K ish to keep the mechanicals running well. At the last service 2018 I had the gearbox oil and filters done and checked and found all was well.
It has pretty much a full service history, I have all the books and a file of paperwork , in addition to 2 flip style keys.

So to the car itself, the bad points:
General scratches and chips on the paint, 2 larger ones on the driver door. Please don't expect a showroom vehicle if you turn up to view.
Rear wheel arch lower on drivers side just starting to bubble through. Also a little on the passenger window.
Mirrors move but don't fold.
Centre console rear lower trim in blue not ivory( fitted as a temporary measure and never got round to change it as no one noticed).
Driver seat leather worn but not through the top surface of the hide, and the trim panel has a couple of cracks.
Parcel shelf is Parchment not Ivory.
I have always wanted a mechanically good car rather than a showroom vehicle, so my money went on that.
DAB is great when in signal and crap when it's not.

The good points:
Just had a MOT and service from my usual garage, so all good for 12 months.
(There were 2 advisories for worn but not excessive movement on bushes, 1 of which has been on the MOT since I had the car and the guys at the garage can't see why the tester keeps putting it on as it's a void bush and needs to move for axel articulation)
From the factory it had the upgraded head unit with Sat nav and CD changer with the Amp in the boot. The amp still powers the new head unit.
Suspension works fine goes up and down, although I don't use it much especially full height.
The new head unit has a iPhone 5 in the glovebox as an iPod and that will come with the car.
Previous owner switched off the steering column moving when putting the key in/out to save on wearing the motor, I am the only driver so have never needed to change it.
Factory fitted removable tow bar.
All the electrics work( as of today)
And the priceless FFRR sticker.

I am also including the following:
15 Ton bottle jack.
iCarsoft i930 fault code reader.
Rear lights I took off the car as the passenger side is still good.
Alternator.
Height sensor.
Fog light surround.
Old battery, still holds a charge just not enough to crank the car on a winters day.
Old head unit, CD changer, GPS unit ,bluetooth unit all this was working when taken off the car and put in storage but in good faith I cannot say if any of them work now.

I think that is everything, if there are any questions please get in touch and i'll do my best to answer them. I work a 3 shift rotation so might not reply straight away.

I am asking £2500.

(Sorry can't seem to get the photo's to rotate properly!!!)

My new car is arriving sooner than i thought , so have reduced the price again to move this on .
Too optimistic on price to begin with , listed with heart rather than head !!!!!

Hi, nice looking car with the credentials I am looking for.....I currently have a Defender 90 TD5 and a Disco 2 TD5 and am looking to replace the Disco with a TD6 L322.

Please could you confirm how many owners and whether it has a sunroof?

Also do you have any more pictures particularly of the wheel arches, scratches etc

Many thanks

Nick
