Afternoon all on my way back down on thursday just wondered if there were any notable changes with regards to speed cameras- I did here that they were going to remove the warning signs that are about 400m before the camera just wondered if anything has changed in last few months |

Still got the advance warning signs locally but I wouldn't depend on that completely. John

Actual location of speed cameras on GPS is illegal in France. However, you can have "Zones of Danger" which effectively cover the areas where there are speed cameras.

We use the WAZE app on our mobiles, based on actual warnings from drivers. Works fine for us. Millions of French use it, so actually quite correct, I like it better as google maps. |

If you can latch onto the derrière of a local on selective sprints (or otherwise cruise within limits) then it takes some of the mystery out of it. I saw surprisingly few cameras (Calais to St Tropez via the toll roads). This was back in June and no letters... so my derrière strategy must have worked. |
