Pete I got about 5.5 to 6 litres back in, just need to recheck in morning If it dont work.......burn it!

That's basically the upshot of it, though, in combination with the fluid change, the gearbox should be OK for a while. Dr Tranny managed to prolong my TC replacement on my 6HP for nearly 20k after a flush, but the flush was vital to preventing damage to the rest of the box - the TC was replaced ASAP once symptoms re-appeared. My understanding is that preventing the slippage helps to reduce the excess heat, so it does help to reduce damage somewhat.
