Where's my satnav gone?

Following a recent post regarding no voice control it's now apparent my satnav is not working either so I assume they're linked. All i get is a message saying satnav initialising but nothing happens. Any thoughts on this much appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. I assume disconnecting the battery will affect pretty much all current user settings including seat positions, vehicle setup etc. or is this held in some sort of memory ?

No sir, you will loose dash memory so, MPG etc + radar cruise settings etc but all seat memories are held in memoried ECU’s so won’t be affected...

Resetting the battery will put all of your ECU’s to sleep 💤 Then when you reconnect the battery this allow all of your ECU’s to wake up as they should!

ECU’s can go into “a distressed mode” (trying to start the car with a low battery, extreme heat or cold or just because it wants to!!!) resetting the battery is the only way to be sure it’s not just “one of those things” Before you start spending money on diagnostics etc etc...

Hope that helps 👍

Disconnected the negative battery terminal and left for a while before re-connecting......no luck. It seems the features not working are sat nav, voice command and stored cd's. Unless I've missed something all else appears ok Evil or Very Mad
