United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Zambezi Silver
High level brake light

So the light unit needs replacing before the MOT. With the genuine part being around £100 delivered has anyone tried the non-OEM types that sell for around £40 on auction sites? I'm even thinking the smoked grey version would look better than the standard OEM red but don't want to find they are poor quality, don't fit, don't last etc.....

I went for the smoked one from Powerful and I’m happy with the fit. Here is both for comparison.

I have a genuine LR one removed from a 2011 car that I hadn't got around to selling. The LEDs are all working but can't remember the cosmetic condition. If you're interested I'll get it out of the garage tomorrow and list it on here.

I went the £55 Chinese (HK) smoked copy route. Fitted a couple of months now and no issues so far. To be fair, it looked identical to the Powerful one on their video..... Just a few wire mods and bingo. Looks a lot better on a Black FFRR too.

Mmmn, dilemma now - I like the look of the smoked on the picture from Full Fattie, looks like a silver FF same as mine. Or do I go for the genuine at the bargain Duckworth price?
