I replaced all 17 internal light bulbs with LED versions. Still have one to do (glovebox).
Went out last night and tried them, i'm very pleased with the result.

Very nice 👍

May I ask why you feel the need to use a crook lock on a car which has an ignition key?

When I was a Plod throughout the 90’s all cars had ignition keys and 1000’s were stolen every day across the UK.

Different world now though Jim! Bet you couldn’t nick a FFRR with an ignition key these days! All the keyless ones getting nicked these days... hence my question 👍

You might find this interesting (Page 16, section 4.3) http://www.righttoride.org.uk/documents/AV...ricted.pdf

I realise that its not a high value vehicle any more, but still has a worth to someone who wants one.

The crook lock is more of a visual deterrent than anything else, another hurdle to cross, of course unless your up on models with key/keyless entry, (though not very likely) in the case of the opportunistic thief.

Craig, if you have a big lump of iron protruding from the steering wheel and you manage to start the car and break the ignition lock you ain’t going to go round too many corners eh? A case of belts and braces and a good visual deterrent.

Safety and security first Craig! 🧐 👍

Strider, did you buy the bulbs as a kit or individually?

I bought a kit off e-bay.
One of the forum members has used the same kit and supplied the link in his post.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Range-Rover-L32...Sw8MJbrU2h

I installed the glovebox LED today, what a performance, cr**p design, no lens just a small rectangular c/out too small for fingers.

If any of you brave souls want to undertake it then a set of trim removal tools is essential to avoid damaging the car.

I also added the 4 vanity mirror LEDs to the visor mirrors. This brings the quantity of fitted LEDS to 22, all replaced!!!.

Nice job.

I did all of mine with a similar kit.

But haven’t bothered with glove box - too much of a faff. What do I put here then?
