Do you have access to someone with a code reader to clear then read the codes? This should reveal the component now disconnected. |

By searching online I have found that it must be the plug for the fan it self (viscous fan)

I had a look at mine and thought your plug might be the fan plug but couldn't get good easy access to disconnect it to compare with your picture. If it is for the fan then a short circuit is most likely in the wiring but could be where the wiring enters the hub which could be difficult to repair. I do most of my own work so I would be checking the harness first. |
