Hi , as per title, my sat nav knows the car is based in ireland but when i try to give an address via voice control the tft screen shows UK and cannot search for an Irish address, anyone know how to change this ??

I’m guessing that on the main navigation screen where the EU map is displayed you have to change the country to be searched from U.K. to Ireland? Or maybe one can change the country to be searched by voice command?

Hi Peanutbob, the sat nav is changed to Eire and will look for addresses in the emerald isle if typed into the nav screen but the voice option will only search in the UK. When you try to put an address via the voice system it comes up on the dashboard display ^ United Kingdom' and will only search in the UK. I will have a look in the configuration files using my IID tool. Thanks for the input  2015 4.4 AB

when you say the address do you also say the country name at the end.... ... - .- -.

Hi Stan , i can't get that far, it seems to be using a predictive text type thing. Today i was trying to get to Dublin road , Portlaoise but once i got to dublin road, it would only give me options in the uk and i couldn't get past that part. 2015 4.4 AB

Im back to collect daughter no.1 from a party later and will give it a go. When i use voice to attempt to enter an address it jas ' United Kingdom ' across the centre section of the TFT , between the dials. 2015 4.4 AB

according to he owners manual you can select voice commands for poi's, but no mention of addresses, unless i've missed it..

To listen to the Voice tutorial, detailing the operation of the Voice control system:

Briefly press the steering wheel's Voice button to start a voice session.

Wait for a tone to sound, then say Voice tutorial.

Alternatively, the Voice tutorial can be selected using the Touch screen, as follows:

Select the Setup icon from the Touch screen Home menu. See TOUCH SCREEN HOME MENU.

Select Voice from the Setup menu.

Select Operating guide from the Voice settings menu.

Select Voice tutorial.

Follow the instructions shown on the Touch screen.

The Voice tutorial can be cancelled at any time, by touching the Touch screen, or by pressing and holding the steering wheel's Voice button. ... - .- -.
