There was a similar procedure on my Defender TD5 to kick the fuel pump in and force it to bleed/prime itself after fitting a new filter.

its an easy task but the new filter can put up a fight when going on. I cross threaded mine without even realising.

I filled my with diesel before putting it back in line. less wait this way.

+1 with Nino, i just turned on ignition and waited for fuel pump to stop and then started RR and left it tick over for a few seconds. I had to remove the whole assembly to get the filter off as it was too tight with my sausage fingers!! 2015 4.4 AB

As its diesel as opposed to petrol I'm tempted to leave it on....

I did not, i did take out air box (held in place by tree rubber grommets) which will give you plenty of space to work. |
