Without having your car in front of us it's kinda difficult to diagnose an odd sound...

i had this problem yesturday and when i looked it was the dust shield on the front drivers brake had come loose i did what elpeede says you should do "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

Fingers crossed it's the brake disc cover, seems like it could be the most likely thing. I will check tonight when I get home, when it will still be light I hope (the good thing with the clocks going forward!) |

All seems ok now. Started the car and seemed ok. Did give the brake cover a little prod too. |

Hi , I had exactly the same noise , rattling on idle and also after you blip the throttle on run down.
