Well it’s pretty much a full days drive, flat out, to the northern Spanish border, so not much of a weekend away unless you just want to drive.

Yes i was thinking that. Or maybe a ferry to Santander although they seem expensive? Maybe the ferry takes a while. --

I would advise a trip to ypres in Belgium no more than an hour from the tunnel. Lots todo and see in and around ypres you will be amazed. Better to see a place than just blast three it. |

Agree with Alistair its a long drive down to the south and the ferry takes a while from memory about a day anyway - I have looked at all options and still use the tunnel. Maybe the Normandy beaches as well loads to see in North of France and Belgium. |

About 24 hours. As said, stick to the north. Bruges is very attractive. The Champagne region is within reach. I am a bit biased, but Costa Del Sol, east of Malaga, beautiful mountains and country side, great beaches and perfect weather at the moment.

I lower mine, but fits fine in regular height - a little tight but OK Obviously more room in overweight - and it's the same price - just less availability and a bigger impact with delays
