L322 no sound from cd, radio or sat nav.

Back again, with another electrical fault! Who said the germans have got technology right? Or maybe they reserve all the failed warranty equipment for Range Rover? My old 322 04 plate has lost all audio. No sound from sat nav, radio, cd or tape. Everything is working but just in silence. If this were a woman, I wouldnt complain but..........
The screen shows everything it should, it like someone unplugged the speakers.
Now, I am hoping that someone will have an answer to the problem and of course a 2 minute free fix!!!
I did pop into a car radio specialist wgho tried to sell me a complete new head unit that would take the place of everything thats currently fitted, but as everything is working other than sound, it seemed a little drastic, not to mention expensive.

Check rear left cubby for water ingress
Check all boxes and connections .

Hi Joe,

All looks dry in there, but will disconnect what I assume is an amp and also a tuner to see how the connections lookare you aware of any fuses, other than those in the main fuse boxes? can't see one on the amp, but maybe there is one on the bigger unit which must be a tuner?

Thanks,

Bill

The same thing happens to my 2004 L322 every few months. I just have to change one of the fuses behind the glovebox and then normal sound returns.

Try just turning up the volume. Mine goes silent every so often, it just mutes itself. It takes a fair old turn of the knob to get sound back. Ron B. VK2OTC

I lost my sound, turned out to be a bad connection on the front plug on the dsp.
Wiggled the wires and the sound came back on. Thumbs Up
