Infatuated - Supercharged love!

Having just got my S/C back, after it's been receiving attention for dodgy gear change, I have to confess that I'm in love with it. I had to test it yesterday, with hard acceleration on lpg, motorway driving. Much as I tried, I couldn't get it to switch to petrol even under hard load, kickdown, and despite the lpg tank being in the reserve zone.

The system was being calibrated, so now seems spot on. The gearbox is now behaving well after an oil change.

I do just love this car. Having driven around in a Mercedes B Class for two weeks, it's just so fantastic to be back in the Range Rover. For those of you considering a Supercharged, all I can say is just do it! It's probably the best time ever to go for them (so long as you don't have to do high mileages).

I'm going to be driving the family over the France for easter, and I just think in the Range Rover, it makes the journey a really enjoyable part of the holiday, rather than an endurance feat.

Many people see the car as being a way to get from a to b, and with a normal car that may be the case. A decent Range Rover makes each journey a pleasure, and you end up looking for reasons to continue to c, d and e! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

I have to agree. After 5 days of ownership the only word I can use to describe it is IMMENSE!

The lofty driving position gives you the chance to see much further down the road and take evasive action - I was wondering why people in front of me were taking so long to react to a developing situation in front of me until I sussed that they couldn't see what I had seen a few car lengths before.

1 thing I have noticed is that I'm more of a target for people thinking, "oh that's one of those f'ing RR drivers and I'm going to go out of my way to make life difficult for you". The good thing is, because you have and they haven't, you needn't rise to the bait! Mr. Green

Good news Boz - I was wondering how you were getting on with the LPG.

Keep us updated with progress as it settles in over some miles. Sounds like you have cracked the prior LPG supercharged set up issues!

Nice one Boz Thumbs Up the infatuation doesn't go away either, I've had mine four years and still get immense pleasure from driving it.

The trip to France will be immense, you won't just go to c,d & e, you'll carry on given any excuse.

I agree with Alan, but when you want to just put your foot down and leave trouble behind, you can.

Enjoy Thumbs Up

Glad you've got it back and driving as it should be.

The only downside* to driving a FFRR SC every day is that every other car you get in from now on will feel Censored .

* and the MPG which is not an issue to you Very Happy
